Yesterday we ventured out to the Ruta del Mamut as it had a baja intensidad and allowed Asher to test his limits. He walked almost the entire route (about 2 miles) but was really getting quite lethargic and less enthusiastic at the end and no longer wanted a skittle for encouragement. There is a circular route that is about 5 miles, but we weren’t prepared to carry Asher and we hit all the fun stuff for the kids. Maybe I’ll hit up the circular route sans kids.
Walking beneath the brush.
Ohhhhh, a tunnel has formed. The kids already ran off ahead of me.
Of course, these branches have to be tested.
Yep, we are in a swamp.
Asher deciding where we will go.
We found the mammoth. Asher was busy eating his snack.
Toren showing how much he can do on his own.
Asher taking us off in a different direction.
I loved that the foliage was creating tunnel like shade in various parts.
El ojo oscuro
Toren now leading as Asher has fallen to the rear.
A view of the partially snowcapped mountains beyond.
Looking outfrom the camouflage viewpoint but no sign of wildlife, but could definitely hear them.
