We spent the last few days of Semana Santa in the Alpujarras in Trevélez. It’s one of the highest pueblos in Spain. With a crazy amount of hiking routes all around. The weather couldn’t make up it’s mind while we were there, but being avid outdoor people from WA we didn’t let that stop us. Greatest thing was that even the boys didn’t complain about the weather.
In case, you didn’t know how to spell it and there are so many places that do their version of jamon. We met the owner of the guy who owns the one at the lower entrance of the pueblo.
The view of the pueblo from just above.
Even higher and the boys taking in the vista.
Just outside the jamoneria! Yummy delicious.
The view of Río Trevélez from our lodging.
Asher led large portions of this uphill route. He was gung ho today.
The snake everyone walked over not realizing what it was. I stopped just before it thinking it was a weird branch.
Toren trying to prevent Asher from finishing the whole thing. Toren even taught Asher some new tricks, ugh.
The view from just above the pueblo from the Era El Fuerte facing towards the hiking route we did yesterday.
The view back to Ferroirola where we left the car.
Almost to Busquístar and we’ve already been rained on once.
And there is Busquístar!
The return to Ferreirola.
Toren following the markers since I missed one a little ways back.
