Aveiro was our stop on our 1st full 24 hours in Portugal. It is considered to be “the venice” of Poetugal. It was a fun, sunny day and we opted for a boat ride. I took this as a substitute for the real Venice as we were in lockdown when we should have gone and I’m not interested in flying on planes currently. There was a whirlwind of interesting tiles in this but I’m saving them for a compilation favorites after we leave Portugal.

Not really a city floating on water, but rather has some canals that run into the city, at least that’s Dave’s opinion.

Yes, they are definitely capitalizing off the boat tours here.

Loved this design work.

A very “minecraft” looking tile design.

The streets are lovely to walk through here.

One building that I snapped due to the all over tile work.

A roundabout intersection that you can actually see under the bridge while in a boat.

This building just stood out to me and I think it was some kind of museum.

Asher proud of his work after climbing to the top and bowing to all that were watching.

Lovely tilework that I couldn’t get a closeup.

Is that a fishhook down there or an ampersand?

Feeling disappointed?

Loved that green old colonial feel.

Oh, that fishhook down the canal was a circular bridge.

Hey, there’s another boat company going the opposite way.

All these beautiful ribbons to represent love or rather marriage as I understood it.

A massive factory in the salt industry.
