We left amazing Asturias and went further west to Galicia. While heading to O Irixo to a real bed and not semi-living out of a car, we stopped and explored the Las Médulas and had lunch nearby. It is essentially an old historic gold mine and the most important to the Roman Empire. Just breathtaking! And no we didn’t find any gold.

We were actually hiking along the narrow ridge to get these photos as the trail was behind and below.

There was an old mining area that you could check out, but Asher was too young.

This is the ridge we were walking along.

One last look before heading down to lunch.

Our beautiful view of the gardens while having lunch.
