Our 1st full day in Galicia we took our time at our sweet rural rental and then headed to Ourense after getting a good night’s sleep.
We are all walking toward the Puente del Milenio.
Here is the view from the tippy top.
Asher walked a total of 244 steps all by himself!
The view from down the river at the Roman bridge.
When I first saw this bridge driving through I thought something terrible had happened, seriously.
The view of the Roman bridge from the Milenio.
Ta Da! The Puente de Romano which is now a really big pedestrian footbridge. We ended up walking over this bridge 4 times that day. Whoops!
Igrexa de Santa Eufemia, one view of the old part of the city.
Toren waiting for Asher in front of the Catedral de Ourense.
Asher, once arrived, proceeded to climb every step and say, “I did it!”
Asher leading the way through these walkways. Dave thought these were reminiscent of the traboules in Lyon.
Toren and I spotted these beautiful mosaics on a ceiling from where we were sitting.

I believe this was the Iglesia Santa Maria, but I just love the look of some of these old churches.
A look toward our future.
Our rural home for 8 days. It was soooo quiet here. Ah!
The park, bridge and river right across the street.
