Another day in Gothenburg allowed us to use the local ferry system and explore the southern archipelago. It was such a fun day even if I misread the route directions but it worked out fine and we were able to explore 4 islands.

Trying to capture the beauty of the landscape as the ferry moves at 28 knots.

A lone shack.

On Vrångö, the most souther island while we try to find the lookout.

Found it and not the expected way either, but who cares? The boys sure didn’t.

Here’s the stairs we should have found while looking back to the ferry dock on the opposite side.

Looking south and towards the hiking direction we’ll take.

Already out on the trail and we pop out to look back towards the viewpoint.

The boys taking a break…

Dave capturing all of us getting the full view.

The port at Donsö.

Another viewpoint to look out from Donsö towards Styrsö.

Look, there’s a bridge that connects the 2, but very few cars or none at all are allowed on some of these islands. You may find golf carts some mopeds, or bicycles.

A shot from the viewpoint of Styrsö towards Donsö.

Sailboats going by while we stand at the ferry dock at Styrsö.

A view from the top of Styrsö to the west.

Zooming out to capture Halsvik.

Down near the shore and capturing the bridge from the opposite direction.

Such beauty everywhere walking along the shoreline.

We had a little more time so we thought that we’d jump off at Köpstadsö where it’s a super small residence island and they use bikes and wheelbarrows to transport things.

Toren finding his own viewpoint.

No joke, there isn’t a lot here amd realizing we may get stuck on this island because it’s not as big as some others we walk back to catch the next and possibly last ferry of the day.
