Our 1st stop in the Algarve was at Praia do Camilo and then to Ponta da Piedade (both in Lagos) as the tide was rising as well as the shade in our little safe beach. Such a fun little beach.

It looks a bit crowded down there, but enjoying all the colors of the rainbow.

200 steep steps down to the beach. An older gentleman told me in Portuguese not to go as I headed down as he made it to the top. Too late!

So, this a hand dug tunnel that separates two beaches, however, an adult could get around through the water by walking.

This was actually another private cove (4th) after the 1st two mentioned above.

It even had a secure pool from the waves coming in.

The rock is more exposed here when the tide is lower.

This was a cave at the 4th beach with an opening up top.

The initial view of Ponta da Piedade. Just to the left of the frame is a really high point that you climb on a dirt trail.

This is that high point with a view leading out to the ocean.

Here’s the view swinging back to the steps that will lead you all the way to the bottom.
