The last day in Portugal we checked out Faro although due to a late start we just explored options for our next visit and then went out to Praia do Ancão for some beach fun. The following day we headed back to Spain, but not quite home, to check out other future places to visit.

Enjoyed a cider in Faro while discussing options. Loved this touch to drinking a cider which really highlighted flavors.

A beautiful flower at the market/park on the wharf.

There was quite a bit of parking, but this area before the beach was protected so you walked to the beach on these boardwalks.

The protected area of the beach which even had a few restaurants spread a good distance between each other.

Ancão beach.

My artwork was still there even after people playing around in the sand and lifeguards on quads had come through the area.

This was called a desert daisy. Pretty!

The next day we drove through Isla Cristina and found Playa Central and discovered there is camping nearby, too.

Our destination was Huelva for lunch and here we are walking thru Calle Vázquez López.

This is Plaza las Monjas where there is a statue of Cristopher Columbus. He is very celebrated here in Spain, but especially here as this is where he waited for his financing for his great discovery.

My selection of flavors turned out well. There is an actual taco version but it looked like it could be quite messy so we didn’t chance it.
