So after the first few days we decided to venture out to Sagres, Portugal and also see about some waves for surfing.

The view from Cabo de São Vicente looking east. If you look closely, there is a small cave to the left where a few people were chilling out.

This is the most southwesterly point in Portugal, but it still looks good from here.

I’m sorry, did I say something wrong? A small sculpture garden exhibit at the lighthouse.

This is Praia da Bordeira where there are sand dunes and waves. You must hike across the sand dunes to get to the waves. Can you get there without stopping? Uh, no.

When the tide is down there is this shallow pool of water that’s nice and warm.

Either I was the only one who happened to walk through here or there might be an extremely strong wind pushing through here.

Toren testing the water and waves with his whole body.

Several people kitesurfing here as the wind was perfect for it.

You can just see a kitesurfer beyond Toren there.

Then we checked out Praia do Amado where the waves had a more consistent break, but rentals were closed and it was already early evening so why not park it here and have ice cream and drinks.

And finish it off with a sunset.
